Join us in making a lasting impact through the power of the arts
Sponsor a child
Sponsor a child's artistic journey and help unlock their creative potential. Your sponsorship can provide a young artist with access to transformative experiences, including music lessons, art classes, and performance opportunities. By becoming a child sponsor with the GMG Music & Arts Foundation, you're not only nurturing their talent but also nurturing their dreams. Your support can open doors to a world of artistic possibilities, and together, we can inspire the next generation of artists.
Volunteer your time
Make a lasting impact by sharing your time and passion with the GMG Music & Arts Foundation. Become a mentor and guide aspiring young artists on their creative journey, igniting their inspiration and nurturing their skills. Your mentorship can be a transformative experience for them. Additionally, advocate for the arts by spreading the word about the importance of arts education and creative expression. Support our mission by being a voice for the arts in your community, schools, and beyond.
Donate
Your support can make a profound difference in the lives of young people and the future of the arts. By donating to the GMG Music & Arts Foundation, you empower us to provide opportunities for youth to discover their creative potential and grow through artistic expression. Whether you choose to make a one-time gift, become a monthly donor, or explore other giving options, your generosity directly contributes to fostering creativity, self-confidence, and a love for the arts in the next generation.
Our Projects
Impact Music empowers youth ages 12-18 to create, write, and record their songs, poems, and lyrics to make a positive impact on their peers and the community. This project emphasizes the relevance of the Word of God in relation to issues youth often encounter. Impact Music is made possible through collaborative partnerships with youth groups, churches, and community organizations.
We help unlock the creative potential of our participants with our engaging and interactive workshop designed exclusively for kids aged 10-16. In this dynamic workshop session, young aspiring musicians will embark on a musical journey to discover the art of crafting their own original songs. Please contact us if you would like to bring this workshop to your group or organization. Made possible by a collaboration with The Young Musician’s University.
Past Projects
Life Through the Eyes of a Child
In this Photography Project, we provide youth with photography lessons and the opportunity to capture their world through the lens of a camera. This initiative was funded by the Orangeburg Fine Arts Center, which receives support from the SC Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. These projects exemplify our commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering creativity through the arts.
Let’s Dance
Students learned the basics of dance technique, including posture, balance, and coordination, guided by student instructors from the University of South Carolina. Through this wonderful journey of movement and expression students ignited a passion for dance, fostered creativity, and built a strong foundation in movement. This was made possible through a partnership with the USC Dance Department.
Music Works
Through Music Works, we partnered with the Orangeburg Area Boys and Girls Club to offer piano lessons to at-promised youth ages 7-17. Music Works provided students with access to a piano lab and music instruction. This project is made possible with the support of the Orangeburg Fine Arts Center, which receives funding from the SC Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
